Showers, thunderstorms expected Sunday

HUNTINGTON -- Showers and thunderstorms are expected for Sunday in the Tri-State with possible hail, high winds and heavy rains.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch to run from midnight Saturday through Sunday night.

The high was expected to be around 86, and the overnight low about 66.

Here is a look at the week ahead:\

Monday: A slight chance of showers after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 79.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 81.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Saturday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
