Tickets on sale Monday for Oak Ridge Boys return to Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio  — The Oak Ridge Boys have a long tradition of visiting Portsmouth to perform a Christmas show. They have an even longer tradition of performing together. Celebrating 40 years together, the four members of the Oak Ridge Boys will return to Shawnee State University’s Vern Riffe Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.

The group released a 40th anniversary album in late July. “Celebration of Faith, Family & Freedom” has some of their famous hits from the past like “Elvira” along with songs that reflect their gospel roots and love of country – “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Tickets are $39, $36 for seniors, $29 for students, $22 for children age 12 and under and $35 each for a group of 20 or more.

Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 26 at the Vern Riffe Center's McKinley Box Office and can be purchased in person from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling the box office at (740) 351-3600, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000.
