W.Va. man gets 16 years for child porn possession

Jan. 09, 2013 @ 06:37 AM

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A Dunbar man convicted of downloading thousands of child pornography images to his home computers has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Ryan Montgomery of Dunbar was sentenced Tuesday to consecutive two-year prison terms on eight counts of child porn possession.

The Charleston Gazette reports Kanawha County Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib Jr. calling the case “very disgusting.”

Workers at a South Charleston store where Montgomery had left his computer for repairs found suspicious material on the hard drive. Police later used a search warrant to raid Montgomery’s home.
