Man arrested in drive-through robbery

HUNTINGTON — A Huntington man was arrested Saturday in connection with an armed robbery at a drive-through gold and silver exchange business that occurred Friday.
Danny Ray Napier II, 27, was charged with first-degree robbery in addition to an unrelated misdemeanor capias charge out of Wayne County, Huntington Police Det. Ryan Bentley said in a press release.
The robbery took place at the Gold and Silver Exchange at 2565 5th Avenue.
A man approached the drive-through window at the the business at 10:30 a.m. Friday and he acted as if he wanted to pawn jewelry.
Instead, he brandished a handgun toward the employee at the store and demanded money.
Law enforcement released an image of the suspect, who was described as having dark hair and a mustache, Friday evening, but Bentley said it appeared Napier obtained a haircut and shaved his mustache prior to his arrest.
Napier was arraigned in Cabell County Magistrate Court on Saturday, and his bond was set at $100,000.
