W.Va. man gets 4 months over bomb threat
WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) — A Wheeling man has been sentenced to four months in prison over a bomb threat to the main U.S. post office in his hometown.
Acting U.S. Attorney Betsy Jividen says Charles W. Beever was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Wheeling.
In addition to the four months in prison, Beever will be on supervised release for two years.
The 44-year-old is due to begin his sentence on Jan. 28. He’s currently free on bond.
Beever was convicted of making a bomb threat by conveying false information about an alleged attempt to bomb the main post office in Wheeling.
He pleaded guilty in October to the charge stemming from the incident, which occurred on May 24.
