Open art studio encourages students to work independently

May. 31, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- Susan Tschantz encourages all her art students to work on projects they want to during open studio time each Wednesday afternoon.

The open studio allows adults and children to work at their own pace and in a medium that suits their skill and taste. The cost is $60 for six sessions, which are held from 1 to 3 p.m. each Wednesday year round at the Renaissance Arts Center, 900 8th St., Huntington.

Tschantz said they are hosting a free event from to 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at which those attending will make art on a trading card, with the option of trading with other class members.

For more information, contact Tschantz at gallerywv@yahoo.com or by phone at 304-552-2006.
