Lincoln County businessman elected to College Board
Lloyd G. Jackson, president of Jackson Gas Co. in Hamlin in Lincoln County, was among seven elected to serve as a trustee for the College Board, a not-for-profit membership association whose mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity.
Jackson will serve a two-year term.
The seven new trustees were elected at the College Board’s annual meeting on Oct. 23, to serve on the 31-member governing board of the association.
The trustees are responsible for assisting in legal and fiduciary decisions; approving the mission, strategic goals and objectives of the organization; establishing policies; and advising those responsible for the management of the organization.
The Board of Trustees administers the association with guidance from three national assemblies and six regional assemblies.
