Deadline approaching for minigrants
CHARLESTON — The deadline for the next round of minigrants from West Virginia Humanities Council is Dec. 1, 2009.
Minigrants are awarded every 60 days for projects requesting up to $1,500. The deadlines are Dec. 1, Feb. 1, April 1, June 1, Aug. 1 and Oct. 1.
The minigrants support small projects, single events, lectures, museum exhibits and brochures, consultation needs and planning for more complex projects. Nonprofit organizations are eligible. Proposals from colleges, schools, libraries, historical societies, parks, convention and visitors bureaus, historic sites, museums, civic and service organizations, cultural groups and local government agencies to apply.
