Sunday night obituary update

James J. Adkins, 85, of Evans, W.Va., died Friday at Ravenswood Village, Ravenswood. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation as a furnace operator. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane. Military Honors will be provided at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, following the funeral service. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
SADIE BROWNING, 93, of St. Mary, Ga., formerly of Cabell and Boone Counties, W.Va., widow of William B. Browning, died Wednesday at Brunswick, Ga. She was a retired school teacher. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
LOUISE PELFREY-CANTERBURY, 85, died Saturday. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, Wayne. Burial will follow at Thompson Crabtree Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
GERALDINE CRIGGER, 65, of Canada, Ky., died Saturday. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dix Fork Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery, Sidney. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home.
HESTER ELLEN CROWDER GOLDEN, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., wife of Earl Jackson Golden, died Saturday at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was a retired unit clerk from Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
MARY LOUISE McCOMAS, 65, of Huntington, W.Va., widow of Red McComas, died Wednesday at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery, Huntington. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the cemetery. Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.
PEGGY MILLER, 77, of Leon, W.Va., died Saturday at Holzer Medical Center. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deal Funeral Home. Burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill. Visitation will be two hours prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home.
JERRY RAYBURN, 67, of Lake, W.Va., died Saturday at home. Evans Funeral Home, Chapmanville, is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.
