Ham radio exams to be given Dec. 12
HUNTINGTON — An amateur radio license exam will be given at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Museum of Radio and Technology, 1640 Florence Ave.
The exams are sponsored by the Tri-State Amateur Radio Association, but any qualified candidate is invited to attend and be tested.
The test is for anyone who needs a new ham radio license or a renewal. The test is $15.
Pre-registration is not necessary, but applicants must complete Form NCVEC 605 from the Federal Communications Commission. The forms will be available at the exam session. They must also bring required documents, including a picture identification and an original copy of any ham radio license for those renewing.
