Scavenger hunt set for Ironton in September

IRONTON _ Ironton Alive is hosting a scavenger hunt next month with gift certificates from selected downtown Ironton merchants, according to a news release.
Select merchants will be displaying posters that reflect the colors and logos of local, Lawrence County high schools. Prizes in the form of Ironton Bucks will be redeemable at participating local merchants. First place will be $250 in Ironton Bucks, second place is worth $100, third and fourth place will earn $50 and fifth and sixth place winners will receive $25, according to the release.
The official Ironton Alive scavenger hunt forms will be available at the Ironton Farmers Market at 220 S. 2nd St., on Saturday, Sept. 6. Forms also will be available during regular hours at the Printing Express, 1229 S. 3rd St.
The scavenger hunt runs from Sept. 6 through noon Sept. 13.
A drawing is scheduled at the farmers market at noon, Sept. 20 to determine the winners.
