Famous ABBA tribute band playing Camden Park Sunday
HUNTINGTON — They’ve been on tour with Shania Twain and Cher, played Bill Gates’ Microsoft Windows Launch Party, Russell Crowe’s wedding and J.K. Rowling’s fundraising ball. Now, the ABBA tribute act, Bjorn Again will be playing Camden Park.
Yep, haul that disco get-up back out of the closet; Bjorn Again will be playing shows at 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Camden Park, West Virginia’s only amusement park.
Not that anyone is counting, but over the past 21 years, the group has grossed $42 million from 4,300 performances in 60 countries.
A cool twist for that day at Camden Park is that the park is donating 10 percent of the gate to Kellogg Elementary School to build a new school playground, since the playground is, well, older than ABBA.
On July Fourth, Camden Park will host City Heat, and then some of the area’s best fireworks at 10 p.m.
