Hospice to host support groups in April
HUNTINGTON -- Hospice of Huntington will host a variety of support groups in April. All meetings take place at the Hospice office, 1101 6th Ave., Huntington, and are free and open to the public.
Children Helping Children, 6 p.m., Thursday, April 4. Meeting focuses on bereaved children assisting other bereaved children in coping with grief and feelings associated with a loss. Children also have the opportunity to make a keepsake in memory of their loved one.
Adults Helping Children, 6 p.m., Thursday, April 4. Session is for adults learning how to help children cope with a loss and manage the various phases of grief.
Coping with the Death of a Child, 2 p.m., Monday, April 8. Designed for families dealing with the death of a child, allowing them to explore and discuss grief issues related to losing a child.
Transitions Support Group, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 17. Group discussions on grief and socialization through recreational activities.
