Woman reports vehicle vandalized on 6th Ave., $378 in items stolen
HUNTINGTON -- The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:
A 24-year-old woman reported her vehicle vandalized while parked in the 800 block of 6th Avenue at approximately 1 p.m. Sunday. Items reported stolen included a purse, valued at $298, and $80 cash.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A 56-year-old woman reported her silver 2010 Kia Forte stolen from the area of 11th and 12th Streets and 8th and 9th Avenues between 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A 71-year-old man reported his gray 2002 Dodge Dakota stolen from the 700 block of 10th Avenue. The incident occurred between 4:45 and 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
STOLEN VEHICLE: A 32-year-old woman reported her blue 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier stolen from the 2900 block of Auburn Road between 6 and 8 p.m. Sunday. The car was valued at $5,000. The woman also reported that a wallet and cash, valued at more than $300, were inside the vehicle.
LARCENY: A 29-year-old man reported an iPad stolen from the 800 block of Virginia Avenue between 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The item was valued at $400.
BREAKING AND ENTERING VEHICLE: A 52-year-old man reported his car burglarized while parked in the 2900 block of Jarrell Street between 1 and 8 a.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a laptop and computer bag and GPS unit. Items were valued at $1,550. Damages to the vehicle were assessed at $300.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A manager at Huntington Wholesale Furniture on 8th Avenue in Huntington reported someone had thrown bricks at two of the company's trucks, causing $500 to $600 in damages. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday.
BREAKING AND ENTERING AUTO: A 64-year-old woman reported her vehicle burglarized while it was parked in the 1300 block of Neel Street between midnight and 1:45 p.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included miscellaneous tools, valued at $440, and $50 cash.
GRAND LARCENY: A 42-year-old man reported his debit card as lost and said someone had used at an ATM in the 300 block of 31st Street to withdraw $2,000. The incident occurred between January and March.
BREAKING AND ENTERING AUTO: A 43-year-old woman reported her purse stolen from her vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 1500 block of 18th Street. The purse and its content were valued at $400. Damages to the vehicle were estimated at $200. The incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.
The following information was provided by Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Jonathan Luther Grant, 28, was incarcerated at 12:45 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony nighttime burglary. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Emmanuel Lopez, 20, was incarcerated at 12:15 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony stolen vehicle and wanton endangerment, along with two counts misdemeanor fleeing and a single count of possessing a controlled substance. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Justin David Wilburn, 32, was incarcerated Sunday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony nighttime burglary. Bond was $10,000.
Gaston Herbert Smith, 19, was incarcerated Sunday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and misdemeanor driving under the influence. Bond was $28,000.
