Man reports Jefferson Avenue home burglarized

The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:

BURGLARY: A 64-year-old man reported someone forced entry into his home in the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue on Thursday afternoon and took $2,000 in jewelry, $500 in electronics, a firearm worth $500 and $150 in cash.

BREAKING AND ENTERING (AUTO): Two people reported someone broke into their vehicles while they were parked in the 1000 block of 11th Avenue between Thursday night and Wednesday morning.

A 23-year-old man said someone forced down the driver's side window in his vehicle and took a laptop worth $750 and a backpack worth $150.

A 30-year-old woman reported someone broke out the passenger's side window of her vehicle and rummaged through several bags in the vehicle. The woman said nothing appeared to be missing at the time of the report, but the car sustained $200 in damage.

THEFT FROM AUTO: A 25-year-old woman reported she parked her Jeep in the 1700 block of 7th Avenue on Thursday morning, but when she returned to the vehicle a few hours later, the vehicle's soft top cover, worth $1,500, was gone.

The following information was provided by reports filed with the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:

LARCENY: A 52-year-old woman reported someone stole $1,000 in underpinning from her trailer in the 7700 block of Union Ridge Road in Lesage sometime between Monday afternoon and Thursday afternoon.

The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Baboursville:

Frankie Richard Chapman, 28, was incarcerated at 2:05 p.m. Friday. Authorities in Mason County charged him with felony grand larceny and two felony counts of daytime burglary. Bond was $60,000.

Joshua Xavier Bronsley, 20, was incarcerated at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony military desertion. Bond was denied.

Kevin Deon Washington, 35, was incarcerated at 5:50 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony forgery and misdemeanor obstruction. Bond was denied pending arraignment.

Nakia Tarria Berger, 32, was incarcerated Thursday evening. She faces two counts of felony third-offense shoplifting, one each alleged in Cabell and Kanawha counties. Total bond was $15,000.
