‘Culture, Technology and Society’ seminar series begins in September
HUNTINGTON — Huddleston Bolen LLP and the St. Mary's Education Center will sponsor a new seminar series titled, "Culture, Technology and Society.”
Presented by the Marshall Institute for Interdisciplinary Research, it will bring nationally-known speakers to the area to talk about the ways technology impacts lives and to help understand how people can take advantage of advances in science to expand the economy and improve the area.
The first seminar will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the St. Mary’s Center for Education at 5th Avenue and 29th Street. Guest speaker will be Houston T. Hawkins, senior fellow director of the Department of Defense Programs at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
A cocktail reception will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by the seminar and discussion at 6:30 p.m.
