Palin to stop in Ohio Sunday
HUNTINGTON — Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is expected to make a brief stop in Gallipolis and Marietta, Ohio, Sunday on her way to a rally near Wheeling.
The Marietta Times reported that the Alaskan governor would stop in Gallipolis sometime Sunday, but GOP officials did not know when. However, they said it would not be a ticketed event.
Palin is expected to fly into Huntington Sunday morning, but Republican officials were not aware of any plans for a campaign stop in the Huntington area.
Palin's only scheduled appearance for Sunday is a 3 p.m. Road to Victory Rally in St. Clairsville, Ohio, near Wheeling, according to the McCain-Palin Web site.
