Biological father reported to have exposed himself to son

The following information was provided by the Cabell County Sheriff's Office:

FORCIBLE FONDLING: A 25-year-old woman reported that her son told his step-father that the child's biological father had been fondling him and exposing himself to the child since sometime around Mother's Day weekend this year. On Tuesday, the woman reported that she and the suspect had been divorced since 2002, and the suspect had lost custody rights in 2009 after a party at the suspect's house involving alcohol and naked people, during which the victim was present. The father had been given visitation rights again in May 2010.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: A 28-year-old man reported that an unknown suspect entered his locked vehicle parked in the 6300 block of Aracoma road Monday night and took more than $3,000 of items including a GPS system, a camera, various chargers and a wallet, which contained credit and debit cards and cash.

LARCENY: The owner of a consignment shop in the 6300 block of East Pea Ridge reported that an unknown suspect stole a Sony Laptop computer worth $1,200 and parts to a HP Desktop worth $699 from the store sometime between July 1 and July 27. The complainant reported that no forced entry was made and the locks to the space had not been changed since a previous business rented the space.

FALSE PRETENSE: A 49-year-old woman from Salt Rock reported that sometime between March and July an ex-boyfriend, who briefly lived with her, set up an account under her name at a hardware store and altered information on a revolving account the victim had with another business. The suspect charged more than $6,800 on the accounts in the victim's name. The victim also reported that the accounts have been locked since the incident.

A 42-year-old man reported that he was assaulted by two unknown suspects while leaving a bar in the 2100 block of Rt. 60. He said one of the suspects, who had a mohawk haircut, struck him several times in the face, and the victim said he was pushed to the ground where the second suspect kicked him several times in the ribs and stomach. The victim was intoxicated at the time of the incident and refused EMS.

The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:

THEFT: A 69-year-old woman reported that between September and November 2009, a known suspect stole items from her home. The victim said the suspect, who had been helping the victim around her house, took $6,400 worth of jewelry, a jewelry box worth $500, an art deco lighter worth $500 and $300 in cash. The victim said she had not been able to report the incident due to various hospitalizations since the incident occurred.

CHILD ABUSE: A 37-year-old woman reported that on May 27, 2010 she picked her daughter up from school and found blood in the child's ear and a large bump on the child's head after she complained of head pain. The woman took the victim to a local hospital, where a physician confirmed the injuries appeared to have resulted from abuse. The victim said that her father's girlfriend had kicked her down the stairs when she was interviewed by a Child Protective Services worker. The mother filed a domestic violence petition against the suspect on Wednesday, but the suspect had not been served at the time the report was filed.

BURGLARY: A 36-year-old woman reported that between last Saturday and Wednesday someone gained entry to her residence in the 900 block of Monroe Avenue and stole a bike worth $320, a guitar valued at $250 and candleholders worth $10.

LARCENY: A 25-year-old woman reported that a known suspect took an iPod touch worth $200 and a video recorder worth $40. The victim said the suspect had been staying at the victim's residence in the 200 block of 33rd Street West, but she had asked the suspect to leave. The victim said she found the iPod at a local pawn shop under an unknown woman's name.

BURGLARY: A 74-year-old woman reported that the outbuilding on her property in the 800 block of Washington Avenue had been broken into and that miscellaneous tools were taken sometime Tuesday night. The damage totaled $545.

The following information was provided by the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:

Dustin Lee Smith, 24, was incarcerated at 4:30 Wednesday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with wanton endangerment and unlawful wounding. His bail was set at $2,500.

Brittany Nicole Gardner, 21, was incarcerated at 2:45 Wednesday. She faces bond revocation in Cabell County.
