W.Va. high school choirs to perform in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Fifteen high school choirs from across West Virginia will perform this weekend at the state Culture Center in Charleston.

The First Lady’s Festival of Songs will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Each choir will conduct a 15-minute performance. The event is free and open to the public.

The high schools are Buffalo, Cabell Midland, Capital, Elkins, Fairmont Senior, Hampshire, Hurricane, Mingo Central, Nicholas County, Nitro, Philip Barbour, Riverside, Roane County, Winfield and Woodrow Wilson.
