Minor earthquake hits Tri-State Saturday afternoon
HUNTINGTON _ Cabell County 911 received calls from residents from Westmoreland to Ona about an earthquake that hit the Tri-State Saturday afternoon.
The United States Geological Survey reported a 4.3 magnitude earthquake about 13 kilometers west of Whitesburg, Ky. Whitesburg is located in southeastern Kentucky some 111 miles southwest of Charleston.
The earthquake was reported at 12:08 p.m. Saturday.
No damages were reported locally, according to the dispatcher.
