Beating suspect turns himself in
HUNTINGTON — A suspect in the alleged beating and stabbing of a Huntington firefighter turned himself in to authorities Friday, according to Huntington Police Detective Chris Sperry.
On Saturday morning, Sperry said Justin Stahl, 20, turned himself in, was arraigned before Cabell County Magistrate Mike Woelfel and posted bond. The second suspect, Rhamel Hatcher, is still being sought.
Stahl and Hatcher are both charged with malicious wounding, stemming from a June 20 altercation behind a nightclub in the 1200 block of 4th Avenue. The pair are alleged to have attacked Huntington firefighter Seth Summers, 23, as he was helping a friend outside a nearby sporting good store.
