Public to get rare look at W.Va.’s archives
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia Archives and History Library is offering the public a rare look at its collections.
A showcase of historical documents, photographs, and audio and video clips will be held Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Culture Center in Charleston.
Archives and history director Joe Geiger says the event will show the depth of the state’s collections.
Items to be displayed include letters written by Civil War nurse Clara Barton and posters from World War I and World War II.
The event is free.
