Huntington residents under boil water advisory

HUNTINGTON -- Approximately 75 West Virginia American Water Customers are under a boil water advisory that was issued by the company Saturday afternoon.

Customers living between the 100 and 400 blocks of 6th Avenue and the 500 and 700 blocks of 2nd Street in Huntington are under a precautionary boil water advisory.

The advisory was issued following a water main break in the area, which West Virginia American Water crews are working to repair.

Affected customers should boil water before consumption, and they are asked to bring water used for drinking, cooking, bathing and brushing teeth to a full boil for a minimum of one minute, then cool before use.
