Church putting on 5K for charity
CATLETTSBURG, Ky. -- The Awakening Student Ministries at Burnaugh Baptist Church is sponsoring the Hands and Feet Project 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 4, starting at the courthouse, 2800 Louisa St., Catlettsburg, Ky.
Proceeds from the event, which starts with registration from 7 to 7:45 a.m., includes a kids' 50-yard fun run at 7:45 a.m. and the 5K run and walk at 8 a.m.
Entry is $25 for race-day registrants. All proceeds will benefit the Hands and Feet Project in Haiti.
Prizes will be given to first-, second- and third-place winners and those in each age groups.
