Former Blenko employees sought for research project
Hillary Homburg, a dentist with Cabin Creek Clinics, founder of The Blenko Project at www.blenkoproject.org and writer of a Blenko Glass blog on www.herald-dispatch.com, is looking to expand her Blenko research.
Homburg is looking for former Blenko Glass workers and their family members for oral and written histories.
"West Virginia was once home to over two dozen very large glass manufacturers that have closed. Now we have only Fenton and Blenko," she said. "Preserving this important part of our heritage is important. If not now, the histories will be lost. Most all these men are in their late 60s to early 90s."
