Drug search nabs four
HUNTINGTON -- A tip helped police uncover more than 25 grams of suspected crack cocaine and led to four arrests, according to an incident report filed at the Huntington Police Department.
Officers were alerted at 2:22 a.m. Thursday that somebody was cooking drugs at a house located in the 1000 block of 7th Street. Police knocked on the front door and an occupant allowed them inside. They walked to the kitchen area where they noticed two men quickly place items in the sink and oven. The officers walked by the sink and noticed what appeared to be crack cocaine, which led them to obtain a search warrant.
Those arrested were Jerrell Leon Johnson, 47; Gail Motley, 59; Paul Anthony Perry, 47; and Allen Dwayne Motley, 51. Each are Huntington residents charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
An incident report filed at the Huntington Police Department states officers seized 27.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine, $984 cash and marijuana seeds among other items. The largest portion of suspected crack cocaine was found in the kitchen sinks. The remaining portion was found in the oven.
Officers confiscated $826 cash from one suspect, $158 from another and $40 from a third.
The suspects were incarcerated between 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. Thursday at the Western Regional Jail. Bond was initially denied pending arraignment.
