Man, 36, hangs self from 17th St. bridge
HUNTINGTON -- Police say a 36-year-old man committed suicide Wednesday evening by hanging himself from an area bridge.
Huntington Police Capt. Rick Eplin said a passerby riding his all-terrain vehicle on the floodwall found the man about 8:17 p.m. with a rope attached to the bridge connecting 17th Street West to Ohio.
The deceased was identified as Arthur Williamson of Charleston. Detectives planned to meet his family Thursday, Eplin said.
Williamson was pronounced dead at the scene.
