Harless Center registering for summer camps

HUNTINGTON — The June Harless Center for Rural Educational Research and Development, part of the College of Education at Marshall University, is offering summer camps for students entering Pre-K through eighth grade.

This year’s theme is Exploring S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics).

There are four weeks of camps, starting the week of June 3. Camp dates and details include:

  Pre-Botting: Pre-K Readiness Camp, Monday-Thursday, June 3-6; for children entering Pre-K and kindergarten, held in Corbly Hall 118. Cost is $80 per child.

  Arts and Bots: Exploring Robotics and the Arts, Monday-Thursday, June 17-20; for children entering third through eighth grades, held in Jenkins Hall B7. Cost is $150 per child.

  Experimenting with Science, Monday-Thursday, July 8-11; for children entering third through fifth grades, held in Jenkins Hall B7. Cost is $100 per child.

  Bee-Bot into Beginning Robotics, Monday-Thursday, July 22-25; for children entering first and second grades, held in Corbly Hall 118. Cost is $80 per child.
