HUNTINGTON — It’s All Greek and it’s all good on Huntington’s Southside neighborhood as the historic St. George Greek Orthodox Church continues its 26th annual Greek Fest that runs 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
A Tri-State tradition for the nearly three decades, the Greek Fest features Greek music, dancing, arts and crafts, and, of course, an amazing array of Greek food at the church, which is located at 701 Eleventh Ave., that’s the corner of Eleventh Avenue and Seventh Street.
There will be dancing at 1 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, as well as Greek folk music, church tours, a gift shop and a guest speaker.
The festival is free as is the entertainment and church tours. The church sells a wide array of fresh-made Greek food to raise money for the church, outreach ministries and charities.
In Monday’s Herald-Dispatch, read about the huge batch of upcoming October festivals for the weekend of Oct. 3-5 in the Life section.
