Huntington in Bloom

Jul. 06, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

Huntington in Bloom is a citywide effort to increase civic engagement and improve the quality of life in Huntington by encouraging individuals to get involved in: floral displays, landscaping, urban forestry, environmental initiatives, historic preservation, and litter and graffiti removal. In July, a group of renowned judges will visit Huntington as part of a national contest.

Here is a weekly tip from the Huntington in Bloom organizers:

If you don't recycle, try to start! Recycle paper, plastic, glass bottles, cardboard, and aluminum cans. If your neighborhood doesn't collect at the curb, take your waste to a collection center.
