Jul. 10, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- Raymond Eugene Leake, 34, pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court to receiving child pornography.

Leake, of the 1400 block of Monroe Avenue in Huntington, was arrested by Huntington Police in January. Leake had more than 600 images of child pornography on his computer and had sent at least one image to another person, according to a release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.

Leake faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine at his Oct. 7 sentencing, set by U.S. District Judge Robert C. Chambers.

The West Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Rada is in charge of the prosecution.
