Funeral held for former W.Va. Gov. Hulett C. Smith
BECKLEY, W.Va. (AP) — More than 150 people have attended the funeral of former West Virginia Gov. Hulett C. Smith.
The funeral was held Friday at the Beckley Presbyterian Church.
The State Journal reports among those in attendance were former Govs. Gaston Caperton and Bob Wise, U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin and Jay Rockefeller, along with other members of the state's congressional delegation.
Smith died Jan. 15 in Arizona at age 93. He was buried at Beckley's Sunset Memorial Park.
