Dominion Hope ordered to lower gas rates
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The Public Service Commission is lowering the price of residential gas for Dominion Hope customers.
The commission said Saturday that gas rates will be reduced by nearly 4 percent.
The lower rates will be effective beginning Wednesday.
Customers’ gas rates are adjusted annually to account for differences in the cost of gas in purchased gas adjustment proceedings. Those proceedings provide for rate adjustments based on an estimate of future costs utilities will pay for gas from their suppliers as well as adjusting for the actual costs for the previous year.
