Man arrested on repeat drug charge
CATLETTSBURG, Ky. -- A 34-year-old man was arrested early Friday, just weeks after having been released from jail, according to a press release issued by the Boyd County Sheriff's Office.
Leron M. Taylor of Ashland was charged with two counts of second-offense trafficking crack cocaine. He was detained in the Boyd County Detention Center.
The arrest occurred at 1:27 a.m. Friday at Taylor's residence in the 2900 block of Bath Avenue. The release states it followed deputy sheriffs having purchased a gram of crack cocaine on Wednesday. They purchased the same amount on Thursday.
Those drug buys led to the execution of a search warrant. It revealed narcotics, money and drug paraphernalia, according to the release.
Taylor just recently completed a five-year sentence for a prior crack cocaine trafficking charge, the release states.
