Cheerleaders share try-out tips, skills

Jul. 27, 2013 @ 12:15 AM

ONA -- Young cheerleaders from throughout Cabell County united in spirit Friday evening at Cabell Midland High School for the first day of Cheer Rock Camp, hosted by the Scarlet Knights cheerleading squad.

Participants had the chance to get try-out ready by learning new cheers, skills and techniques to be the sharpest cheerleaders they could be.

Middle-school-aged participants were given extra assistance in working on their tumbling techniques as well as critiques of their material for try-outs.

The camp will wrap up Saturday with a program for family and friends at 11 a.m. at the high school.
