Ashland's Summer Motion wraps up today
ASHLAND -- Food, games, a petting zoo and the world's tallest pinball machine are at your fingertips for one more day during the last day of Summer Motion at Central Park.
The final day of the event begins bright and early at 9 a.m. with a Motorcycle show. The Colgate Country Showdown, Tony Wilson, Rachel Hannah and Whiskey River Band and the band, Madhouse will be on hand to provide musical entertainment throughout the day.
Events that have been a part of the entire festival, like the craft show, medical screenings, science demonstrations and various exhibits will be available until the very end of the festival Sunday evening.
Even though the event moved from Veteran's Riverfront Park on the Ohio River to Ashland's Central Park, Chuck Charles, president of Summer Motion, said there's been a smooth transition from one park to the other.
"My team, they thrive on problem solving -- that is what they do at their own jobs -- so this has worked out remarkably well," Charles said. "We have a have great venue with Ashland Central Park that we have highlighted and showed off and showed the people what kind of a diamond it is to have this level of concerts in the park."
