Man stabbed during domestic dispute in Ky.
WURTLAND, Ky. -- A domestic dispute in Wurtland, Ky., sent one person to the hospital and one to jail early Saturday, according to a press release issued by the Greenup County Sheriff's Department.
The victim, Thomas Michael Blanton, 29, of Greenup, was taken to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and then to St. Mary's Medical Center after police say he was stabbed by Victoria M. Blanton, 24, also of Greenup.
The suspect was charged with first-degree assault and lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center. The condition of the victim was not released.
Deputy David Bocook responded to the 200 block of Harris Street in Wurtland at about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, after a 911 call was received indicating a domestic dispute at the Blantons' residence on Elwood Lane in Greenup, Ky. Following the incident, the victim drove to his workplace, where the incident was reported to authorities.
The incident remains under investigation.
