HUNTINGTON —  As Christmas creeps closer, everybody’s looking for some special gifts for friends and fam, and you can take a gander at some locally made arts and crafts that just might foot that bill as everyone from woodworkers and painters to origami artists to photographers show their wares as part of the monthly Third Thursday Huntington Art Walk in downtown Huntington and Heritage Station.

 This month, one of the main highlights includes the grand opening of award-winning painters Bruce and Lil Bowersock in their new studio at Suite 104 at River Towers West (aka The Masonic Building), at 1102 Third Ave., Huntington.

 Come and celebrate with Bruce and Lil from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, as they host newcomer Donna Speakes, who uses driftwood and found objects in her installations. Don’t forget to head across the alley from the Bowersocks to Heritage Station many artists will be on display in the shops including edgy, contemporary artist Jimbo Valentine, who  will have his work on display at Brand Yourself.
