Craft Barn hosts last No-Heel Socks knitting session

November 22, 2009 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON -- The Craft Barn at Heritage Farm Museum and Village in Huntington hosted its last session teaching people how to knit No-Heel Socks on Saturday.

Instructor Sandy Skidmore worked with participants on knitting no-heel or tube socks during the session. Heritage Farms sponsors several traditional sewing and weaving sessions throughout the fall.

Previously, Heritage Farm instructors taught participants how to weave and braid rugs, create patchwork table runners, knit shawls and use natural dyes.

Jennifer Chapman works on knitting a scarf during Knit No-Heel Socks on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Heritage Farm Museum and Village. Chapman is left-handed, which makes it difficult for Sandy Skidmore to teach her so polishes up her knitting skills first by working on a scarf.
