HUNTINGTON – Light freezing rain and temperatures in the mid-30s greeted Black Friday shoppers in the Tri-State, according to the National Weather Service.

Those conditions were reported at 6:50 a.m. at Tri-State Airport in Ceredo. Forecasters expected a slight chance of snow showers mixing with rain, gradually ending after 9 a.m. Friday. Cloudy conditions were then expected with clearing late. The high temperature was expected to reach 41 degrees. Winds of 10 to 13 miles per hour were expected with gusts up to 23 miles per hour.

Friday night’s forecast featured mostly clear skies with a low near 30 degrees.

Sunshine is predicted for Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures are expected to reach the upper 50s. Overnight lows fall to the upper 30s to low 40s.

The new work week calls for a 60 percent chance of rain showers Monday and Monday night, with partly sunny skies for Tuesday. High temperatures are forecasted for the upper 40s.
