DON C. ADKINS, 70, of Huntington, died Saturday at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.
DAVID J. DAVIS, 83, of Ironton, husband of Virginia Combs Davis, died Thursday at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He retired from Allied Chemicals and Aristech Chemicals. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home.
Ota Veva Dent Hager, 99, of Huntington, widow of William McKinley Hager, died Tuesday at Wayne Nursing and Rehab Center. She was a retired cook for the Cabell County school system. Graveside services will be held at Hager Family Cemetery in Hamlin, W.Va., on Tuesday, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home.
WILSON HANNERS, 91, of Ashland, husband of Lillian Fay Thomas Hanners, died Friday at Community Hospice Care Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired sanitation driver for the City of Ashland. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lazear Funeral Home.
HAROLD “BO” HAZELBAKER, 63, of Gallipolis, husband of Luella (Cox) Hazelbaker, died Friday at home. He served in the U.S. Air Force and National Guard, and formerly worked at the Rusk State Hospital, Rusk, Texas. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Willis Funeral Home. KENNETH CHARLES HOWELL, 84, of Ironton, husband of Jean Richendollar Howell, died Friday at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was a retired Lawrence County treasurer and employed at S.S. Kresge’s. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Central Christian Church. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. EMMITT LEE ESQUE, 75, of Huntington, died Nov. 17, at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be Monday in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton. Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.
EFFIE GERALDINE “JERRIE” KETCHUM, 92, of Louisa, died Friday at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to service Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Louisa, West Pike Street.
Esta Ann Stickler Roberts, 97, of Hamlin, died Saturday. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, W.Va. Interment will follow at Orchard Hill Memory Gardens, Yawkey, W.Va. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, W.Va.
JOHN CRAIG RUNYON, 53, of Barboursville, husband of Valerie Maynard Runyon, died Friday at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was a former customer service agent for United Airlines at Mileage Plus, Barboursville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home.
JACOB THACKER, 6, of South Point, son of Jonathan and Stacey McSweeney Thacker, died Wednesday at home. He previously attended A Time to Grow Daycare and Early Childhood Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Burial will follow in McSweeney Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
