VA physician assistant chosen for Army-Baylor University graduate program
HUNTINGTON — A physician assistant at the Huntington VA Medical Center has been selected to participate in the Army-Baylor University Master of Health Administration Training Program.
Julia Spence will relocate to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, in June 2009 for the 12-month didactic portion of the program, and return to Huntington to complete a one-year residency at the VA Medical Center.
Spence, of Raceland, Ky., began her VA career at the medical center in 2000. She currently serves as the supervisor of utilization review and the transfer office.
Spence is a graduate of the physician assistant program at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi. She earned a Masters of Science degree in medical science from Alderson-Broaddus in 2003.
