'Dancing with the Tri-State Stars' to benefit Ebenezer

HUNTINGTON -- Ebenezer Medical Outreach, Inc. presents the 2nd Annual Dancing with the Tri-State Stars event on November 20 at 7 p.m. at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.

Twelve local "stars" will dance to support programs at Ebenezer Medical Outreach, Inc.

Chef Lawrence Perry, Director of Hospitality Management with Mountwest Community and Technical College; Dr. Gerald McKinney, a surgeon with Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine; Chris Miller with Dutch Miller Kia; Tim White with the City of Huntington's Weed and Seed Program; Jason Shepherd a Branch Manager with United Bank; Lou Akers, Vice President of Champion Industries Board of Directors; Anne Yon with McGuire Realty Company and Cabell County Commissioner-elect; Laura Evans, local musician; Carrie Cline a news anchor with WSAZ Channel 3; Dominique Elmore with Marshall University Women's Center; Elizabeth Ayers with the Cabell County Health Department; and George Kotalic, a local landscape business owner.

Ebenezer Medical Outreach, Inc. is a full service medical clinic open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, that provides a multitude of services to the uninsured and underinsured of the Tri-State region of West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. Ebenezer services nine counties, with a combined population of 329,453, with 69,185 individuals living at or below the federal poverty guidelines. Volunteer medical professionals donate approximately 325 hours per month to provide quality care to patients. The organization has seen a significant increase in people who are uninsured and need medical care this year. Each week Ebenezer screens between 20 and 30 people seeking services.
