W.Va. ski resorts welcome new snow
SNOWSHOE, W.Va. (AP) — Five feet of snow this month is extending the season at Snowshoe Mountain ski resort through the first week of April.
The Pocahontas County resort says 2 feet of that snow fell just last week, and more is in the forecast. Snowshoe reports 40 trails are available for skiing and snowboarding.
Winterplace in Raleigh County and Timberline in Tucker County are scheduled to close on Sunday.
The West Virginia Ski Association says this snowy winter is welcome after a mild winter last season.
