2 stores accused of food-stamp fraud

February 10, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

HUNTINGTON — A grand jury has indicted the owners of two Fairfield West convenience stores as part of similar conspiracies aimed at defrauding the federal food stamp program of more than $400,000, according to court documents and a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Businesses targeted in the probe are the Huntington Mart at 1117 Hal Greer Blvd. and the ALLINONE Store, a convenience store formerly known as Sunoco and now pronounced "All In One," located at 1954 9th Ave. In a separate move, the city of Huntington asked a judge on Thursday to have the ALLINONE store declared a public nuisance that should not be allowed to open again.

The U.S. Attorney's Office statement and court documents identify those charged in the alleged food stamp scheme as ALLINONE owner Abderahamane Eloirzazi and Huntington Mart owner Osman Owayda, both known by the nickname "Abe." Others charged in the ALLINONE case were Cynthia Gibson and Stephanie Pauley.
