Bowl for Kids' Sake raises needed funds
HUNTINGTON -- Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State raised thousands of dollars once again Monday night at the 27th annual Bowl for Kids' Sake at Strike Zone Bowling Center.
Executive Director Patti Price said the money helps with operating costs, which includes volunteer recruitment. And she hopes the several hundred who turned out to bowl represents how many big brothers and sisters come out this summer.
"It's a critical time of year," Price said, referring to the school-based and community-based mentoring programs.
