No one injured in house fire in Huntington
HUNTINGTON -- No one was injured when a home caught fire Saturday afternoon in the 500 block of North High Street.
A neighbor called 911 after seeing smoke billowing from the home and hearing smoke detectors going off inside, according to Cabell County 911 dispatcher reports.
Emergency responders with the Huntington Fire Department responded to the scene, and they were able to extinguish the fire, which was contained to one room of the home, dispatcher reports indicated.
An elderly woman, who lives in the home, was not present at the time of the fire, and Salvation Army volunteers responded to the scene to assist her following the fire.
Information regarding what caused the fire was unavailable Saturday night.
