Four arrested Sunday on felony charges
HUNTINGTON -- At least four people were jailed on felony charges Sunday at the Western Regional Jail, according to booking records.
Joseph Edward Morris, 35, was arrested by a Huntington Police officer about 12:05 a.m. Sunday. Morris was charged with six counts of the felony charge of wanton endangerment as well as a DUI first offense. Morris also was charged with two counts of person prohibited from possessing a firearm. He was awaiting arraignment Sunday evening.
James Emmitt Childers, 30, was arrested about 12:25 a.m. Sunday. He was charged with the felony of possession of a controlled substance with an intent to deliver. Childers also had an outstanding warrant as well. Bond was set at $50,000.
Van Smith, 42, was incarcerated at 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Authorities in Cabell County charged Smith with being a fugitive from justice. No bond was set.
Billy Robert McKneely, 55, was incarcerated at 6:50 p.m. Sunday. Authorities in Putnam County charged McKneely with sexual abuse by a parent or guardian. He was awaiting arraignment Sunday evening.
