W.Va. man accused of viewing child porn at library

Jul. 17, 2013 @ 08:13 AM

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A Parkersburg man has been charged with viewing images of child pornography during a visit to a public library.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin says a federal grand jury in Charleston indicted 40-year-old Matthew John Wiggins on a charge of access with intent to view child pornography.

The indictment says Wiggins saw the images from a computer at the Parkersburg and Wood County Public Library in January.

The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years if he’s conviction. Goodwin says Wiggins had a previous conviction in federal court for possession of child pornography.

It wasn’t immediately known whether Wiggins has an attorney.
