Local teens to promote breast cancer awareness
BARBOURSVILLE -- The Huntington Mall will honor Breast Cancer Awareness in October and try to help local teens become aware of the importance of early detection.
Four teens from the mall's Fashion Advisory Board will serve as a link to area high schools: Queen Taylor from Huntington High School; Andrea Steele, who is home schooled; Jess Beihl from Cabell Midland; and Kathryn Thornton from Cabell Midland. These girls are the mall's "Faces of the Season" for the month of October.
As ambassadors for Breast Cancer Awareness month, they will promote breast cancer awareness in their schools, and posters will be displayed throughout the mall in October with personal quotes on what breast cancer awareness means to them.
